I have visited Lymington since I was a teenager, on my dad’s boat ‘Dark Sapphire’. We used to go to Berthon’s Marina and I would row my sister around in the dinghy whilst our parents sat on deck sipping gin and tonic and listening to the oars dipping in and out of the water. At least they knew where we were.
It is a beautiful town, with the cobbled steep lane from the Quay to the town. There are many good shops and restaurants so it is an ideal provisioning stop.
