We have visited this tranquil river on many occasions. In August 2010 we spent a wet weekend there with the Beneteau Owner’s Association at a BBQ but in October of the same year, we had such warm sunshine that we had to dig out the suncream!
The marina staff are very friendly, the launderette is superb and the local pub has welcoming log fires. We usually berth on the river pontoon, which doesn’t have electricity nor water for visitors but we are happy to put up with that and enjoy the dinghy trip ashore.
The only issue is to ensure you have enough water over the bar at the entrance of the river, as we would certainly run aground at LW Springs.
