The sailing and marinas were very different in Portugal and the lack of deserted anchorages in beautiful Rias was definitely a downside. However, the first marina we stayed in was incredibly cheap and the staff were really helpful. There was a great family atmosphere and we were quite tempted to stay in Povoa de Varzim!
