Back To Trinidad Tomorrow

The excitement of the Wedding is fading fast as we get packed up for our return to ‘normal life’.

Rob, Dave & Steve - 60 Years Each

Sunday we spent celebrating the 3 schoolfriend’s joint 180th birthdays with a pleasant lunch and chocolate fudge cake. On Monday we flew the 10 minutes from Guernsey to Jersey and spent the day with our wonderful friends, Richard and Elaine. They took us out for lunch to a beachside restaurant and it was lovely to see them again after over a year.

Almost As Fast As His Dinghy

Richard has bought a powerful motorbike πŸ™‚

Rob began to look out to sea at the one anchored yacht bobbing about in the sunshine and we both know it is time we got back to Beyzano.

Time To Go 'Home'

We have 2 cases packed up just for Customs with a list of 15 invoices and over 30 items cross-referenced with labels. A lot of work but it will smooth our way through with the Trinidadian Officials when we are tired after the long flight and make both our lives easier.

So that’s it. 4 weeks of hectic days and nights and I still have 3 appointments today with the optician, solicitor and then the bank. We need to buy yet another case to take all the purchases back and we have spent over 6000 pounds (not counting our contribution to the Wedding costs). Our thanks as always to our Best Man, Steve, for letting us take over his house and to all the friends and family we got to see and for their hospitality. Apologies as always to all those we didn’t get time to visit this trip πŸ™
