No Sailing

Quick update to explain the lack of posts again. Although we had a lovely weekend at Buckler’s Hard mid-October and also anchored in Osborne Bay to see the new Queen Elizabeth go off on her first voyage, I am now working in Edinburgh so unless Rob decides to take Beyzano out on his own, she is marina bound until Christmas!

I have been touring the local area and found a couple of harbours on the Forth with a few sailing boats moored there. So, at least I can get to the sea!

Rob has been busy this week fitting our new freezer and putting in fans for the warmer climes. Mike from Ocean Electronics also spent a day with him tracing the wiring and found out that 2 of the batteries weren’t wired in to the shunt so the monitor wasn’t reading the power properly. Don’t think we will need the fans in Gosport for some time but the list of tasks to be done before July is diminishing rapidly and also spreads the cost. Only the rigging to pay for in April, need to fit the new prop and keel cooling plate for the freezer and get new jackstays and I think we are nearly done. We have a 3 day Sea Survival and Basic First Aid course in February and I have a 4 day First Aid onboard Ship one in May.
