Just telephoned my lovely friend Ardine from the Netherlands who I haven’t seen in far too long. I had 3 sailing trips in the early 2000’s with Ardine and her husband Jim, as part of a company rally and race event.

Maybe it is just the fact we have a common interest but so many of our friends are sailors and they are laid back and happy with life – must be the love of the sea or the knowledge that not much in everyday life is as stressful or dangerous as contending with the oceans!
